Welcome to Sigma Laser Technologies. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis on which we supply industrial laser machines, related equipment, components and services to our customers, and the basis on which you may use our website.

Established in 1997, Sigma Laser Technologies is an industrial laser machine manufacturer based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, serving manufacturing companies, OEMs, fabricators, engineering firms and trade partners across India and international markets. These Terms reflect our commitment to professional, transparent and long-term business relationships.

Please read these Terms carefully. They form an important part of the commercial relationship between you (“the Customer”, “you”) and Sigma Laser Technologies (“the Company”, “Sigma”, “we”, “us”).

By requesting a quotation, placing a purchase order, making a payment, accepting delivery of goods, or using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

  • These Terms apply to all quotations, order confirmations, sales and services unless expressly varied in a written agreement signed by an authorised representative of Sigma.
  • Where a separate written supply agreement, proforma invoice or purchase contract is executed between the parties, that document shall prevail to the extent of any conflict with these Terms.
  • Any terms or conditions issued by the Customer (for example, on a purchase order) that conflict with these Terms shall not apply unless accepted by Sigma in writing.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not place an order or use our website.

  • Technical consultation and application guidance for industrial requirements.

Our offering is intended for business, industrial and commercial customers. It is not directed at consumers, and these Terms are drafted on a business-to-business (B2B) basis.

Our product range includes, but is not limited to:

  • Fiber Laser Cutting Machines – for cutting metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper;

  • Fiber Laser Marking Machines – for permanent marking, coding and traceability;
  • Fiber Laser Cleaning Machines – for surface cleaning, rust and coating removal;
  • 4P and 8P Diamond Cutting Machines – for diamond and gem processing applications.

Machines may be supplied in standard configurations or customised to agreed specifications. The exact specification, power rating, configuration, scope of supply and inclusions for any order are those set out in the applicable quotation, proforma invoice or order confirmation.

We take care to ensure that information about our products is accurate. However, specifications, descriptions, images, brochures, technical data and illustrations published on our website or in marketing materials are provided for general guidance only.

  • Product images and illustrations are representative and may differ from the actual machine supplied.
  • Specifications are subject to continuous improvement and may be updated without prior notice as part of our ongoing development.
  • Only the specifications expressly stated in the official quotation or order confirmation are binding for a particular order.

Customers are advised to confirm all critical specifications in writing with our team before placing an order.

  • Quotations are issued based on the requirements and information provided by the Customer at the time of enquiry.
  • Unless otherwise stated, a quotation remains valid for the period mentioned on it, or for [e.g. 15–30 days] from its date. [REVIEW]
  • Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, levies, packing, freight, insurance and installation unless specifically included in the quotation.
  • Goods and Services Tax (GST) and any other statutory charges will be applied at the rates prevailing at the time of invoicing.
  • Prices may be revised in case of changes in specification, scope, raw material costs, statutory levies, or foreign exchange rates for imported components, where the order has not yet been confirmed or where delivery is scheduled beyond the validity period.

All pricing is in Indian Rupees (INR) unless expressly agreed otherwise for export orders.

An order is considered confirmed and binding only when all of the following have occurred:

  • The Customer issues a purchase order or accepts the proforma invoice in writing;
  • The agreed advance payment (where applicable) is received by Sigma; and
  • Sigma issues a written order confirmation.

Sigma reserves the right to accept or decline any order at its discretion, including where required specifications cannot be met, where commercial terms cannot be agreed, or where the order falls outside our manufacturing scope. In such cases, any advance received will be refunded in accordance with the cancellation provisions of these Terms.

Payment terms for each order are specified in the applicable quotation or proforma invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following general structure applies:

  • Advance: [e.g. X%] of the order value payable on confirmation of the order;
  • Balance / Before dispatch: [e.g. balance %] payable prior to dispatch or as per the agreed milestones;
  • Taxes & charges: payable along with the respective invoice. [REVIEW]
  • Goods remain the property of Sigma until full payment has been received, even if delivery has taken place.
  • Dispatch, installation or commissioning may be withheld until due payments are cleared.
  • Delayed payments may attract interest and may affect delivery schedules and warranty commencement.
  • All bank charges, transaction costs and applicable taxes are to the Customer’s account unless agreed otherwise.
  • Manufacturing and delivery timelines are indicated in the order confirmation and are estimated in good faith based on current production schedules.
  • Lead times generally commence from the date of order confirmation and receipt of advance payment, and after finalisation of all technical specifications and customisation details.
  • Timelines are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly agreed in writing as a firm commitment.
  • Delays caused by changes in specification, delayed approvals, delayed payments, customer site unavailability, or events beyond our reasonable control shall extend timelines accordingly.

Sigma shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from reasonable delays in manufacturing or delivery.

  • Unless otherwise agreed, freight, transit insurance, loading, unloading and related logistics are arranged at the Customer’s cost and risk.
  • Risk in the goods passes to the Customer upon dispatch from our works (Ex-Works), unless a different delivery basis is agreed in writing.
  • The Customer is responsible for providing suitable access, unloading facilities and equipment (such as cranes or forklifts) at the delivery site.
  • The Customer should inspect goods on delivery and report any visible transit damage to the carrier and to Sigma promptly, ideally within [e.g. 48 hours]. [REVIEW]

For export orders, the applicable Incoterms shall be as stated in the order confirmation or proforma invoice.

Where installation and commissioning are included in the scope of supply, Sigma will install and commission the machine at the Customer’s site through its technical team or authorised representatives.

  • Installation is subject to the site being ready in accordance with our pre-installation requirements (space, foundation, electrical supply, earthing, environment and utilities).
  • The Customer must ensure site readiness before the scheduled installation date. Idle time or repeat visits caused by site unreadiness may attract additional charges.
  • Operator training, where included, will be provided at the time of commissioning for the Customer’s designated personnel.
  • Any civil work, electrical work, utility provisioning or material handling required at site is the Customer’s responsibility unless expressly included in the order.

To ensure smooth supply, installation and operation, the Customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate requirements, specifications and site information at the time of enquiry and order;
  • Prepare the installation site as per Sigma’s pre-installation guidelines, including stable power supply, proper earthing, suitable environment and required utilities;
  • Provide safe access, unloading support and a suitable working area for the installation team;
  • Ensure machines are operated by trained personnel and in accordance with the operating manual and safety guidelines;
  • Carry out routine care, cleaning and basic maintenance as advised;
  • Use genuine consumables and spare parts as recommended;
  • Comply with all applicable laws, safety regulations and statutory requirements relating to the installation and operation of the machine.

Sigma provides a warranty on manufactured machines against defects in workmanship and material under normal use and proper operating conditions.

  • Warranty period: [e.g. 12 months] from the date of installation/commissioning or [e.g. X months] from dispatch, whichever is earlier. [REVIEW]
  • The warranty covers repair or replacement, at Sigma’s discretion, of parts found defective due to manufacturing or material faults.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Consumables and wear-and-tear items (such as lenses, nozzles, filters and similar parts);
  • Damage due to misuse, mishandling, negligence, unauthorised repair or modification;
  • Damage due to incorrect power supply, voltage fluctuation, poor earthing, water, fire or environmental factors;
  • Failure to follow operating, maintenance or safety instructions;
  • Use of non-recommended consumables or spare parts;
  • Third-party components, which carry the warranty of their respective manufacturers (see Clause 23).
Important: The exact warranty scope, duration and conditions applicable to your machine are those stated in your order confirmation or warranty certificate.
  • Sigma provides after-sales service and technical support through its service team during the warranty period and thereafter on a chargeable basis.
  • Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and extended service plans may be offered separately and are governed by their own terms.
  • Service requests may be raised through our contact numbers or email. We endeavour to respond promptly, subject to location, availability and the nature of the issue.
  • Out-of-warranty service, on-site visits, travel, and replacement parts are chargeable as per applicable rates.
  • Response and resolution timelines are provided in good faith and may vary based on site location and part availability.
  • Sigma endeavours to maintain availability of spare parts for its machines and to supply them on a timely basis.
  • Spare parts are supplied against orders at prevailing prices, plus applicable taxes and freight.
  • We recommend using genuine Sigma spare parts and recommended consumables to maintain machine performance and warranty validity.
  • Availability of certain parts, particularly third-party or imported components, may be subject to lead times beyond our control.
  • Use of non-genuine or unauthorised parts is at the Customer’s risk and may void applicable warranty.

Sigma provides technical consultation and application guidance to help customers select suitable machines and configurations.

  • Such guidance is based on the information provided by the Customer and our reasonable professional judgement.
  • Recommendations are advisory in nature. Final responsibility for confirming suitability for a specific application, material, process or production requirement rests with the Customer.
  • The Customer should validate sample results and suitability where outcomes are critical to their process.

Sigma shall not be liable for outcomes arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the Customer, or from use of the machine for applications other than those agreed.

  • All intellectual property relating to Sigma machines – including designs, engineering, control systems, software, technology, drawings, brand name, logo and content – is and remains the exclusive property of Sigma Laser Technologies.
  • Purchase of a machine grants the Customer the right to use the machine; it does not transfer any intellectual property rights.
  • The Customer shall not copy, reverse-engineer, reproduce, or attempt to replicate the machine, its control systems or its technology.
  • Website content, including text, graphics, images and layout, may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission.

By accessing https://www.sigmalaser.co.in, you agree to use the website lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.

  • Copy, reproduce, or misuse our intellectual property, content or technology;
  • Introduce malicious software or disrupt the functioning of the website;
  • Misrepresent your identity or authority when placing orders or communicating with us;
  • Use our products in violation of applicable safety, export or statutory regulations.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Sigma’s total liability arising out of or in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of the specific machine or service giving rise to the claim.
  • Sigma shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of production, downtime, loss of business or loss of data.
  • Sigma shall not be liable for damage or loss arising from misuse, improper installation by others, unauthorised modification, negligence, or failure to follow operating and maintenance instructions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Sigma shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, war, civil unrest, government action or restrictions, changes in law, strikes or labour disputes, power failures, shortage or delay of raw materials or components, transport disruptions, and supply chain failures.

During a force majeure event, affected obligations and timelines shall be suspended for the duration of the event. If such an event continues for a prolonged period, either party may discuss appropriate adjustments to the order in good faith.

  • Certain components incorporated into our machines (such as laser sources, drives, electronics or other bought-out items) are manufactured by third parties.
  • Such components carry the warranty and support terms of their respective manufacturers, which shall apply in addition to or in place of Sigma’s warranty for those specific components.
  • Sigma will provide reasonable assistance in coordinating third-party warranty claims, but is not responsible for the performance, terms or timelines of third-party manufacturers.
  • Machine performance depends on multiple factors including material type and quality, operating parameters, operator skill, maintenance, power supply quality and operating environment.
  • Performance figures, cutting speeds, output rates or similar data are indicative and based on standard test conditions; actual results may vary.
  • Sigma does not guarantee specific production outputs or commercial results unless expressly agreed in writing for a defined application and sample.

Customers are encouraged to validate performance through sample trials where outcomes are critical.

  • Sigma continually improves its machines and reserves the right to modify designs, specifications, components and features without prior notice.
  • Such modifications will not adversely affect the agreed core functionality of machines already confirmed for supply.
  • The Customer must not modify, alter or reconfigure the machine, its control system or safety features without Sigma’s written approval. Unauthorised modification may void the warranty and may create safety risks for which Sigma bears no responsibility.

As industrial laser machines are manufactured and frequently customised to customer requirements, they are not subject to standard retail-style return policies.

  • Returns or replacements are considered only in cases of established manufacturing defects, in accordance with the Warranty Terms (Clause 14).
  • Defective parts may be repaired or replaced at Sigma’s discretion under warranty.
  • Any return, where agreed, is subject to prior written authorisation and applicable conditions.
Where a separate Returns & Replacement Policy is published, please refer to it. [Link your policy here]
  • Once an order is confirmed and manufacturing or procurement has commenced, cancellation may not be possible, or may be subject to deductions.
  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing and are subject to Sigma’s acceptance.
  • Where cancellation is accepted, costs already incurred – including materials procured, customised work, and components ordered – may be deducted from any refund.
  • Advance payments may be non-refundable for customised or made-to-order machines, to the extent of work already carried out. [REVIEW]
